How long have you worked for Impact and what do you do?

I’ve worked at Impact for seven years. I work on product development for new Impact technologies as well as technical service requests for products in the company’s current portfolio, among other responsibilities.

What are some of your proudest achievements at Impact?

What I consider to be my most significant accomplishment was supervising the development of an environmentally friendly shale inhibitor. Taking the lead from the beginning of the planning and research phase, through all lab testing, and the establishment of quality assurance and quality control documentation.

Being able to envision and then develop a product that has higher environmental credentials than practically any other product on the market has been a tremendously fulfilling experience.

Training new colleagues is something I really enjoy doing, and it’s rewarding to see someone you’ve trained perform lab tests efficiently and connect well into the team. It also serves as a reminder of how much experience I’ve gained in the oilfield sector when I can pass on tips and tricks to new team members.

 What do you like to do outside of work?

It is impossible for me not to be obsessed with everything fitness/gym related. I practice CrossFit 5-6 times per week, sometimes twice a day!

I’m sure people are getting tired of hearing me talk about it all the time, but I’m extremely enthusiastic about my training and about developing my strength and fitness on a daily basis. I compete, and I just finished fourth in a regional tournament in the southwest of the United Kingdom. My goal is to make it to the top of the podium soon!
