Impact Welcomes Veteran Oil & Gas Leader Michael Irausquin as New CEO

Announces Retirement of Rod Uchytil, Who Remains with Impact on Board of Directors

HOUSTON, TX – August 7, 2024 – Impact Fluid Solutions, a premier provider of downhole fluid additives for drilling and cementing applications, today announced a leadership transition as Michael Irausquin becomes President & CEO following the retirement of Rod Uchytil, who led the company for the past decade.

Irausquin is a seasoned executive in the oil and gas industry who brings more than 27 years of leadership experience. He most recently served as President of Bico Drilling Tools, and was Global Vice President of Weatherford’s Drilling Fluids business prior to that. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering and a Global Leadership Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

“I am honored to be entrusted to lead the uniquely talented team at Impact, which is regarded throughout the industry as a leader and pioneer in Wellbore Shielding® and stabilization,” Irausquin said. “I thank Rod Uchytil for his years of service and congratulate him on his many accomplishments, including the company’s unprecedented success under his leadership.”

Uchytil guided Impact through a period of record growth and expansion, culminating in the company’s successful acquisition earlier this year by Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Private Limited, a leading global specialty chemicals manufacturer. He will remain with Impact as a member of the Board of Directors.

“Leading Impact for the past 10 years has been a true privilege and a highlight of my 36-year career in oil and gas,” Uchytil said. “I am grateful that I will continue to be part of the Impact family as a director, and I look forward to serving our company in this new capacity.”

David Johnson, Executive Vice President for Dorf Ketal, thanked Uchytil for his leadership and contributions. He said Impact is well positioned to continue and accelerate its growth leveraging Dorf Ketal’s global reach, R&D resources and manufacturing capabilities.

“Under Rod’s leadership, Impact solidified its position as a global leader in specialty oilfield chemicals,” Johnson said. “We appreciate his continued service as a director and look forward to embarking on a successful new chapter in Impact’s history as Michael Irausquin brings his extensive skills and experience to bear.”

Irausquin officially assumed the role of President & CEO on July 23, 2024, which was also the effective date of Uchytil’s retirement.
