At Impact Fluid Solutions, our commitment to pioneering downhole fluid technologies that deliver real customer value is more than just a goal—it’s part of our identity. I was reminded of just how deeply that commitment runs during my recent visit to our Global Technology Center (GTC) in Cornwall, U.K.
For those who may be unfamiliar, the GTC is Impact’s state-of-the-art research, development and engineering lab. This ISO-accredited facility is our hub for both innovating new products and providing expert technical support to our customers in the field.
I left my visit not just impressed, but inspired.
On the product development front, it was exciting to see the strides we continue to make in innovating new cementing solutions and hear firsthand about the promising ideas we’re exploring in this stage of well construction. I also see significant potential in redoubling our efforts to expand our portfolio of drilling fluid additives, an area in which Impact has been an industry leader since our founding two decades ago.
As always, our primary goal in introducing any new technologies will be helping our customers overcome wellbore stability issues to drive greater value. Under the leadership of Justin Mclellan, our Senior Global Director of RDE, I’m confident our scientific team will continue to lead the way in engineering high-impact, high-value solutions for both drilling and cementing.
In both product development initiatives and customer support services, I was struck by the remarkable motivation and focus of our GTC team. From the whiteboards to the workstations, it’s clear that our people are passionate about advancing downhole fluid science and ensuring the success of our customers’ drilling projects.
As Impact integrates into the larger Dorf Ketal family, I am excited about opportunities to collaborate with scientists across this global company in developing the next line of innovative products that add measurable value for our customers. I look forward to keeping you updated as we continue to achieve new breakthroughs in solving the industry’s most complex wellbore challenges.
