DRILLING / Lost Circulation Solutions

Sandseal

Lost Circulation Solution

SandSeal™ is a lost circulation material (LCM) drilling additive designed as a curative solution for remediating small to total losses. SandSeal is available in both Fine (F) and Coarse (C) grade particles. When blended together, the two grades cover a wide range of fractures. Both Fine and Coarse products are stable in high temperatures, in excess of 400° F. SandSeal is environmentally compliant for use globally. This LCM additive is PLONOR listed for North Sea use, HMCS Category P and OCNS Group E.

FINE

SandSeal F is used when seepage and moderate losses occur. The particle size distribution of SandSeal F is 10 – 500 μm. When SandSeal F is used, solid control equipment does not strip the product out. Downhole motors should not be impacted by this lost circulation material drilling additive. There is no negative effect on drilling fluid properties.

COARSE

SandSeal C is used when moderate to total losses occur. The particle size distribution of SandSeal C is 200 – 2,000 μm. When SandSeal C is used in low concentrations, solid control equipment does not strip the product out. Downhole motors should not be impacted by this lost circulation material drilling additive. There is no negative effect on drilling fluid properties.
